Personal Information Protection Policy Statement of NCKU Research and Development Foundation

Approved by the 115th meeting of office directors of the Foundation on May 29, 2013

 To respect and protect personal privacy in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act promulgated by the Ministry of Justice, the NCKU Research and Development Foundation (the Foundation) declares its personal information Protection Policy Statement as follows:

1.      Abiding by the law

The Foundation will abide by the Personal Information Protection Act and relevant regulations to administer its affairs.

2.  Collection, processing and use of personal information  

The Foundation will collect, process or use personal data following the principles of integrity and legitimacy when administering affairs within the capacity of its business operation.  

3.      Information security

The Foundation will fulfill its obligation as a manager of personal information to take protective measures to ensure the security of personal data.

4.      Emergency measures for information security

The Foundation shall establish a set of operating procedures for the management of information security incidents and assign related personnel with the responsibility to efficiently and effectively manage these matters and inform the parties concerned.

5.      Policy amendment

The Foundation will publicize and update any amendments to its personal information policy on its official website.

The policy stated above clearly shows that the Foundation pays significant attention to personal data protection. All staff members of the Foundation should have a full understanding of the policy to ensure the security of the data for sustainable management.
